My friend Hikaru Noguchi taught me & my students in person in Tokyo this spring 2024, and she told us the story of her new brooch book. The publisher was surprised at the size and colors in her brooches, and asked for them to be smaller, BUT they asked the wrong person to write the book! Hehe, she had me giggling for days with her telling of the story & it delighted me to reminisce about the moment while exploring her book & sewing this quilt.*Shipping may take up to 2 weeks

Make your own Framed Quilt with my On-Demand class:

The ‘Soft Bulk’ of a quilt is extraordinary! Quilts can squish into backpacks and unfurl into art galleries, but sometimes there’s a thrill in stretching them taught, just like a painting. This workshop will teach you to use a wooden frame and staples to display your quilt ‘stretched canvas style.’

Learn a variety of techniques like layering, patchwork, quilt-as-you-go, embroidery, and freeform applique, in a fun, quick-finish project that you can scale up as desired. This is one of my most popular classes and a great introduction to both quiltmaking and my teaching style.

These Framed Quilts and this class both make great gifts!
