This quilt includes a black honeycomb stitch that I was inspired to try thanks to my friend Hikaru Noguchi. That stitch surprised me in looking like a brick castle! I loved the illusion, because my favorite dating/life coach Matthew Hussey likes to talk about looking for a partner who you can build a life with as a fellow ‘castle builder.’ The frame is made with pants given to me by a Pfister employee during my time as Artist in Residence at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.
