Fabric Vases, On-Demand
Fabric Vases, On-Demand
Fabric Vases:
🌸There are many reasons to love this technique, but here are my top five:
Start with glassware from your recycling bin
Repurpose scraps of batting, old socks, thread tails, and other items that often end up in the trash
Vases make great gifts!
They can be functional or decorative
They are easy to complete in a single afternoon
In class, we discuss additional possibilities for this technique, making cozies, a lamp base, a poof/footrest, and even a quilted urn. They can be functional or fine art objects. They are quick to make in an afternoon, and make a beautiful gift.
CAUTION: This process is highly addictive, you will likely make more than one vase. 😉🌷
This is a pre-recorded class. You will have access to 6 very short technique videos for knots and stitches, followed by a 37-minute intro on making your vase armature. Then, you will experience a recording of a live Zoom class with student questions and progress, with a real-time demo of making a vase start to finish. The class is 3 hours, followed by an hour of mingling with students, answering follow up questions, and showing off the results of their vases. You will have an opportunity to share your work publicly with #hpvases on Instagram.
